Lauren and Dominique are my close friends. They are featured on the Celebrate Life CD with me.
Lauren Kenedy is a student at St. Anthony’s High School. Because we both attended the same grammar school and participated in many music programs there, Lauren and I have been friends for years. Even though I go to a different high school than Lauren, she and I continue to work together musically; we are both founding members of MusiCare for Kids. Lauren is very devoted to this program. We spent countless hours creating and promoting this organization, a charity which raises funds and awareness for children with disabilities and their families. Together we performed within the community by singing at fundraisers, nursing homes, community events, and masses. Lauren is a very talented singer and performer.
Dominique Gargano is a student at Commack High School. I met Dominique in grammar school when we both performed in a local community theater production. We have been friends ever since. Dominique is very dedicated and a talented singer. When she joined MusiCare for Kids, we were able to work together again through music while serving others. When Dominique first became part of our group, she had a large repertoire of music to learn in a short time; she always did this with enthusiasm. Together we created many musical arrangements that were used to promote our volunteer performances. It is great to be working with her again.
